BAXTER SHERATON DIANA MAJESTIC - FUORISALONE 2022

YEAR: 2022

For Milan Design Week 2022, Baxter is staging a project dedicated to the restyling of the common areas of the Sheraton Diana Majestic Hotel, which has always been considered one of the most famous fashionable hotels in Milan.

Inspired by the idea of rediscovering the elegance and lines that characterised the history of the hotel in the last century, the reception, lounge and restaurant don new shapes, colours and materials.

The entrance hall is transformed to welcome guests into a space reminiscent of the living room of a large house. Here, the Googie wall light installations and the curtains framing the entrances surround the Clara sofa and Leon armchair in front of the reception area.

A passageway leads to the large hall, designed to give guests the feeling of being in a club. Here, large compositions of Clara sofas and Barret, Marilyn and Lazybones armchairs sit alongside more intimate spaces created with wooden screens that recall the typical architecture of the 1950s, where guests can catch glimpses of Keren armchairs and Adel poufs.

The restaurant follows the same theme and is strongly characterised by a large wallpaper with botanical patterns that provide a backdrop for the whole hall. Corinne chairs and Baudelaire tables are the stars of this space.

The colours are the typical shades of leather mixed with ivory and aubergine, while the lacquered tables and coloured glass create a completely unexpected palette of materials and colours. The hotel's large private garden is a fitting setting for every room.

The end result is a unique oasis of pleasure and relaxation in the city, where every element is in sync with the next, creating an ambience in which to relax and have a drink while enjoying the atmosphere of a magical place.
